FEW WORDS ABOUT ME
Working as a professional photographer, photographing other artists, whether it’s at concerts or in the theatre, portraits or editorial, is where it all clicks into place for me – to be in the middle of it all; not part of the audience, not part of the show, just concentrating on capturing the work that has been put into the show, the quality, the energy of the performers.
The goal is to take iconic photographs – which is to say, photographs that will still, in years to come, look relevant, timeless and classic. Photographs of the artists at their best, photographs with something more to say than simply good composition or a great capture of a light show. Photos you’d want to see of yourself. It is this attention thereof that ultimately produces great images.

A PROPOS
Photographier les artistes en tant que photographe professionnel, dans le cadre d’un concert ou une pièce de théâtre, pour du portrait ou un usage éditorial, représente le contexte où tout se met en place pour moi – être au milieu de tout cela ; pas en faisant partie du public, ni du spectacle, mais en me concentrant simplement sur la capture de l’œuvre qui a été réalisée lors du spectacle, sa qualité ainsi que l’énergie des interprètes.
Le but étant de prendre des photographies emblématiques. Celles qui resteront intemporelles et classiques dans les années à venir. Celles d’artistes sous leur meilleur angle avec une touche de plus allant au-delà d’une bonne composition ou d’une excellente capture de lumières. Des photographies dans lesquelles vous espèreriez vous y voir figurer.
La pression à ces occasions ne vient pas vraiment de la nécessité de prendre une belle photo. Néanmoins, mon objectif principal est d’atteindre le même niveau que ces interprètes, justifiant mon droit d’être là, dans leur monde, à les photographier. C’est cette pression qui produit finalement de belles images.
